When measuring a stump for a quote the area that needs to be properly measured is the widest dimension at ground level. 

 

We would also need to know the type of wood. A harder wood such as oak is more complex and can be a larger job.

 

If there are materials such as concrete, rocks, plants etc. around the stump, they must be removed before we can grind it away.
